"Spring Night: A Moment Worth a Thousand Gold Coins"
This poem is like a symphony of love, each line a melody that resonates with the heart. It's about how precious every moment is, especially during spring nights when flowers bloom under the moonlight and their sweet fragrance fills the air. The poem also touches on how people often waste these beautiful moments in pursuit of wealth and material possessions.
In ancient times, people believed that one should make the most of every moment in life. This idea is reflected in this poem through its description of spring nights as being just as valuable as mornings.
The second line of the poem explains why it's important to cherish these moments.
Even though spring nights are short,
they are filled with beauty and magic.
The sounds of music coming from tall buildings
and the quietness of an autumn night
create a sense of peace and tranquility.
According to old Chinese customs,
spring nights were considered ideal for young couples to spend time together under the moonlight.
Sushi was writing this poem while surrounded by many people enjoying themselves at high-rise buildings.
It seems they weren't pure-hearted lovers,
so they didn't need "flowers and moonlight" as mediators.
As long as they had real gold or silver,
they could enjoy drinking wine together
and find happiness within those high-rise halls.
In this way, they wasted these beautiful moments without realizing it,
even neglecting garden swings left in silence amidst all this darkness.
So what does it mean to not waste our time? According to Sushi's poem, it means cherishing every moment we have - even if it's just for a brief instant - because life can change suddenly.
